Update for week of 1.11.16

Sure the weekend brought some rain across the region, but it’s a whole new week! And with temps dropping back down in to the teens and low 20s, area ski spots will have their snowmaking crews back in action to get those trails back in shape, and more runs online.
Most local areas are open, and running on a regular operation schedule. And now that the season has really gotten underway, the event list is starting to grow.
Mohawk is hosting Scout Week this week. Girl and boy scouts and their troop leaders can ski and ride Monday-Friday for just $20. (Scout ID is required) Sundown and Mount Southington both have demo days planned for the weekend. Southington also continues with the live music in the updated Alpine Eatery every Saturday night. Enjoy the day on the slopes, and then relaxing with friends for a drink and some great acoustic entertainment.
Further north, Mount Snow is hosting College Week #2 with special deals on accommodations, lift tickets, lessons, and tubing as well as live music and loads of après ski fun. Finish off the weekend with Sunday’s torchlight parade and fireworks. It’s a great way to cap off you winter break before heading back to school for spring semester.
